ORDER

When the matter is called, there is no representation for the petitioner. 1/4

2.The Petitioner in the contempt petition, had filed a writ petition in W.P.No.33703/2018 for issuing a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents, particularly, the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.05.2018 submitted for cancellation of patta in respect of the land in S.No.467/2 in Puthanoor Village, Alandur Post, Sankarapuram Taluk, Villupuram District.

3.This Court by order dated 18.12.2018 disposed of the writ petition in W.P.No. 33703/2018, in the following lines :

''Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made on either side, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the representation, directs the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.05.2018 and pass appropriate orders, on merits in accordance with law, after issuing notice to the petitioner, the fifth respondent herein as well as any of the interested parties and also affording them an opportunity of personal hearing within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.'' 4.This contempt petition is filed alleging wilful disobedience of the order passed in W.P.No.33703/2018 dated 18.12.2018. 2/4

5.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent, on instructions, states that the representation of the petitioner dated 11.02.2008 was considered and an order has been passed by the Revenue Divisional Officer, Kallakurichi, Villupuram on 24.02.2021.

6. Since the representation of the petitioner has been considered and an order has been passed by the respondent on 24.02.2021, the same is in compliance with the direction of this Court. Therefore, this Court does not find any disobedience, much less wilful disobedience, of the order passed in W.P.No.33703/2018 dated 18.12.2018.

7.Recording the submission of the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent reporting compliance, this Contempt Petition is closed. No Costs.
