The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records of the 1st respondent dated 24.02.2021 made in SE.MU.KA No.B5/3225/2020 and quash the same as illegal and without jurisdiction and direct the 1st respondent to forbear from demanding or collecting any charges by way of licence fee payment system in the tenemental scheme of Slum Board Okkiam Thoraipakkam, Chennai.

2. When the petition is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner, viz., M.Baskar died and thereby pleaded to dismiss the petition, as nothing survives for adjudication.

3. Considering the above said submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner died, this Writ Petition is dismissed as abated. However, the legal heirs of the petitioner are at liberty to file a 2/4

application for cable licence. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. No costs.
