Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a direction in the nature of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records of the second respondent relating to Pro.No. T1/4541/2010-2 dated 21.10.2010, to quash the same and to issue consequential directions to the second respondent to include the name of the petitioner in the ensuing panel for promotion as Forest Ranger in the appropriate place therein and to consequently promote him as such with retrospective effect from the date of promotion of his immediate junior with 1/4

all consequential benefits without prejudice to his claim for inclusion of name in the panel for 2010-11 and promotion as forest Ranger. For Petitioner :

O R D E R

This writ petition is filed seeking for Certiorarified Mandamus, to quash the order in Pro.No. T1/4541/2010-2 dated 21.10.2010 passed by the second respondent and to issue consequential directions to the second respondent to include the name of the petitioner in the ensuing panel for promotion as Forest Ranger in the appropriate place therein and to promote him as such with retrospective effect from the date of promotion of his immediate junior with all consequential benefits without prejudice to his claim for inclusion of name in the panel for 2010-11 and promotion as forest Ranger.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Advocate for the respondents are present.

3. Learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner has already preferred a statutory appeal before 2/4

the first respondent/Government of Tamil Nadu on 20.01.2011, subsequently he filed this writ petition. The order was passed by the first respondent in the above said appeal on 11.12.2014 pending this writ petition rejecting the appeal filed by the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner is at liberty to challenge the order in the appeal passed by the first respondent in the manner known to law.

4. In view of the above, this writ petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 13.03.2024 nsl Index : Yes/No Speaking/Non Speaking order To 1.
