When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the respondents produced a copy of the Letter dated 11.03.2016 vide No.15207/J1/2013-18 written by the Secretary to Government to the petitioners herein, stating that their request to declare B.Tech Biotechnology/Industrial Biotechnology with M.Tech Environmental Science & Technology as the qualifying eligibility criteria for the post of Assistant Engineer in Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board is not feasible of compliance as it is beyond the purview of Higher Education Department.
It is represented by the learned counsel for the petitioners that the said order has been received by the petitioners.
Recording the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Contempt Petition is closed. However, it is open to the petitioners to challenge the proceedings dated 11.03.2016 passed by the Secretary to Government and adjudicate the issue in the manner known to
law.
