The petitioner/A1 in Crime No.243 of 2024 registered by the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 4(1)(a) and 4(1-A) of TN Prohibition Act with respect to an occurrence which took place on 22.02.2024 seeks anticipatory bail.

2. It is stated that A1 had been arrested and is still in custody. It is stated that A1 and A2 had transported 224 bottles of Pondicherry liquor in two two- wheelers. A1 was intercepted and arrested. This petitioner had run away from the place. It is stated that the petitioner is a history sheeter and there are 24 previous cases against the petitioner.

3. Taking those factors into consideration, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
