Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of habeas corpus directing the respondents to produce the detenu Anandan @ Dal Anandan aged 26 years, before this Court now confined in the Central PrisonII, Puzhal, Chennai and set him at liberty and to call for the records pertaining to the order vide BCDFGISSSVNo.46/2017 dated 14.12.2017 and set aside the same.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by C.T.SELVAM, J.) Petitioner, mother of the detenu herein, viz., Anandan @ Dal Anandan, son of Munivel, aged 26 years, has come forward with this petition challenging the detention order passed by the second respondent dated 14.12.2017 against her son branding him as a "Goonda" under the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Drug Offenders, Forest Offenders, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders, Sand Offenders, Slum Grabbers and Video Pirates Act, 1982 [Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982]. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the order of detention passed by the second respondent as against the son of the petitioner herein dated 14.12.2017, has been revoked by the Government in G.O.Rt.No.385, Home, Prohibition & Excise [XIV] Department dated 31.01.2018 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.

3.Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this petition is closed as the same has become infructuous.
