PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st and 2nd respondents to act upon the representation dated 18.05.2016 and take charge of all the assets of ICICI Bank Employees Union immediately without further delay and ensure the assets of Trade Union are protected. ORDER

There is no representation for the petitioner as well as the respondents 4 and 6.

2. Heard Mrs.C.Meera Arumugam, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents 1 to 3 and Mrs.A.L.Ganthimathi, learned counsel for the 5th respondent.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that certain properties belonging to the Trade Union of Bank of Madura Employees, in which he was the 2/4

erstwhile General Secretary, were sold. In connection with this sale, he has sought for a direction to consider his representation given to the 1st and 2nd respondents with regard to taking charge of the assets of the Employees' Union.

4. The petitioner was 56 years when this writ petition was filed and apparently, he has reached the age of superannuation. As such, considering his prayer at this point of time, particularly when he is no more a member of the Trade Union, may not be proper. Hence, the Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
