The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the writ petition may be closed recording the last two paragraphs of the status report dated 18.12.2019 filed by the Assistant Director (i/c), Tenkasi/Tirunelveli on behalf of the respondents. The last two paragraphs of the status report reads as follows:

"15) In this regard, it is submitted that the demand notice has issued to the petitioner vide this office notice in Rc.No.M3/44240-4/2019, dated 28.11.2019 and directed to remit the cost of mineral for quarried and transported of Granite under the violation period from 15.01.2016 to 10.01.2017 without Environmental Clearance.

16) In view of the above, after remittance the cost of mineral by the petitioner for the quantum of granite for the violation period from 15.01.2016 to 10.01.2017, the petitioner's application dated 30.04.2012 will be considered as per the Acts and Rules in force."
