COMMON ORDER Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, learned counsel, who appeared for the petitioner in all the writ petitions, would submit that he had filed a memo, which reads as follows:
"In the above writ petition we had been representing on behalf of the petitioner.
It has been informed to us by the petitioner that they had engaged another Advocate to represent them in the above matter.
It is submitted that accordingly, we had vide a letter dated 16.09.2019 had informed the petitioner that we will not be representing anymore and that they can come and collect the papers from us and also the change of Vakalat. The letter along with the acknowledgement card are being filed herewith. It is therefore prayed that the same may be taken on file and our Vakalat may be withdrawn in the above writ petitions and notice be issued to the petitioner.
It is therefore prayed that this Hon'ble Court may be 4/6
pleased to record the above memo and thus render justice."
2. Therefore, on 29.03.2023, this Court directed the Registry to print the name of the petitioner in the cause list and to post the matter on 30.03.2023. Today, even though the name of the petitioner is printed in the cause list, neither the petitioner appeared in person nor through counsel. Therefore, this Court has no other option except to dismiss the writ petitions for non-prosecution. Therefore, recording the memo filed by the petitioner, these Writ Petitions are dismissed for non-prosecution. No costs.
