O R D E R

It is the case of the petitioner that he is the owner of the disputed land and that, the adjacent land owner Veeran is preventing the petitioner from putting a fence around his property. Therefore, after giving a representation dated 20.09.2017, the petitioner is before this Court seeking police protection.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate.

3.In the opinion of this Court, Police protection cannot be granted in matters relating to civil dispute. However, as and when the Revenue authorities request for Police protection for https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the purpose of surveying the disputed land, the respondent Police is directed to give necessary protection to the Revenue authorities. This direction will not mean that this Court has decided about the civil rights of the parties. With the above direction, this petition is closed.
