ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Acting Chief Justice) This suo-motu contempt petition initiated as per the order of this Court in W.P.No.41584 of 2016, dated 27.1.2017.

2. Today when the contempt petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the contemnor states that pursuant to the direction of this Court, the unauthorised portion in the building has been removed and the costs incurred towards dismantling of the unauthorised portion has been estimated at Rs.2,00,000/- and direction may be issued to recover the aforesaid amount either from the violator or from the CMDA. He has also produced the letter of the Commissioner dated 01.04.2017 addressed to the Government Pleader along with photographs.

3. In view of the above submission, we close the contempt petition giving liberty to the Commissioner, Kundrathur Panchayat Union to recover the estimated costs of Rs.2.00 lakhs (Rupees Two lakhs) from the violator/8th respondent in W.P.No.41585 of 2016.
