Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to carryout the necessary changes to its records pertaining to the Lease Deed dated 21.01.2010 registered as Document No.386/2010 in the Office of the Sub Registrar, Neelankarai, Chennai, in order to effect the change of name of Satyam Computer Services Ltd., to that of the petitioner as Lessee, in an expeditious manner and provide necessary assistance and documentation to carryout the name change/mutation in the records of the Sub Registrar, Neelankarai, Chennai and other statutory records. O R D E R

The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to direct the respondent to carryout the necessary changes to its records pertaining to the Lease Deed dated 21.01.2010 registered as Document No.386/2010 in the Office of the Sub Registrar, Neelankarai, Chennai, in order to effect the change of name of Satyam Computer Services Ltd., to that of the petitioner 2/6

as Lessee, in an expeditious manner and provide necessary assistance and documentation to carryout the name change/mutation in the records of the Sub Registrar, Neelankarai, Chennai and other statutory records.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner restricted the relief sought for in the present writ petition and states that it is suffice if a direction is given to the respondent to consider the case of the writ petitioner for transfer of name and allow the petitioner to provide the required documents.

3. On account of efflux of time, this Court is of an opinion that the petitioner has to submit a fresh representation along with all the requirement documents, enabling the respondent to consider their request.

4. In this view of the matter, the petitioner is permitted to send fresh representation to the respondent and on receipt of any such representation, the respondent shall consider the same by following the 3/6

procedures as contemplated. If necessary by providing personal hearing and take decision as expeditiously as possible.

5. With the abovesaid observations, the writ petition stands disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
