ORDER

The petitioner has filed this petition seeking direction to the respondent to issue patta jointly in the name of the petitioners for the vacant land measuring to an extent of 0103 Sq.mtrs or 1108 Sq.ft comprised in Old S.No.260/2B, New S.No.383/8D, situated at Achirupakkam Village, Madhuraanthagam Taluk, Chengalpattu District by considering petitioners representation dated 03.09.2021.

Mr.Yogesh Kannadasan, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. In view of the limited

relief sought for in this petition and on the consent expressed by the learned counsel appearing on either side, this petition is taken up for final disposal.

The case of the petitioners is that they are the owners of the property comprised in Old S.No.260/2B, New S.No.383/8D, measuring an extent of 0103 Sq.mtrs or 1108 Sq.ft, situated at Achirupakkam Village, Madhuraanthagam Taluk, Chengalpattu District. The petitioners had acquired the property through a registered Sale Deed dated 12.08.2021, vide Doc.No.3765 of 2021 on the file of Sub-Registrar, Achirupakkam. Hence, the petitioners had made a representation dated 03.09.2021, before the respondent for issuance of Joint Patta for the above said property. However, till date no action has been taken by the respondent. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioners for the above relief.

Though very many grounds have been raised, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that it would suffice if this Court may issue direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.09.2021 and pass appropriate orders within the time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

5. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent submits that the petitioner's representation dated 03.09.2021 will be considered by the respondent within the time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

In view of the aforesaid submissions, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.09.2021, and pass appropriate orders within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity to aggrieved persons.

7. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of with the aforesaid direction. No costs. consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
