O R D E R

The Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to provide adequate police protection through the 6th respondent to conduct the temple festival of Sri Mariamman Koil and Sri Vinayagar Temple situated at Thirumalaipatti Village in Sendamangalam Taluk in Namakkal District from 15.05.2017 to 30.05.2017, based on the petitioner's representation dated 10.03.2017 given to the 3rd respondent.

2. It is averred in the petition that the representation has been given to the 3rd respondent on 10.03.2017 and the same has not been considered so far.

3. In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances and without going in to the merits of the matter, this Court directs the 3rd respondent to consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioner, dated 10.03.2017, on merits and in accordance with law within a period of three days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above observation, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
