O R D E R

The order dated 13.01.2016 passed by the first respondentDistrict Revenue Officer, cancelling the patta stood in the name of the petitioner, is under challenge in the present writ petition.

2. The learned Special Government Pleader, appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3 brought to the notice of this Court that the

entire property, including the disputed property belonging to the petitioner, the land acquisition proceedings were initiated and therefore, the petitioner has to approach the Competent Authorities.

3. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents-1 to 3 furnished the copy of the proceedings issued by the first respondent-District Revenue Officer, Thiruvallur in Na.Ka. No.20617/2020/F3 dated 28.02.2022, which would reveal that the land acquisition proceedings are already initiated.

4. That being the factum, no further adjudication regarding the claim of the petitioner for grant of patta is required. The petitioner is at liberty to approach the Land Acquisition Officer or the Competent Authority, as the case may be. If at all any dispute exist between the petitioner and the fourth respondent regarding title or ownership, then the parties have to approach the Competent Civil Court of Law for the purpose of receiving compensation in the land acquisition proceedings.

5. With the above observations, the writ petition stands disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
