Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to issue Joint Patta for the land measuring an extent of 18.752 cents in Old S.No.9/3B, New S.No.9/3B1 of Manjambakkam Village, formerly Ambattur Taluk, presently Madhavaram Taluk, Thiruvallur District by considering the first petitioner's application dated 15.06.2021.

ORDER

The petitioner has filed this petition seeking direction to the respondent to issue Joint Patta for the land measuring an extent of 18.752 cents in Old S.No.9/3B, New S.No.9/3B1 of Manjambakkam Village, formerly Ambattur Taluk, presently Madhavaram Taluk, Thiruvallur District by considering the first petitioner's application dated 15.06.2021.

2. Mr.A.Anandan, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents. In view of the limited relief sought for in this petition and on the consent expressed by the learned

counsel appearing on either side, this petition is taken up for final disposal.

3. The case of the petitioners is that they are the owners of the property comprised in Old S.No.9/3B, New S.No.9/3B1, measuring an extent of 18.752 cents, situated at Manjambakkam Village, formerly Ambattur Taluk, presently Madhavaram Taluk, Thiruvallur District. The petitioners had acquired the property through a registered Sale Deed dated 28.06.2013, vide Doc.No.7907 of 2013 on the file of SubRegistrar, Redhills. Hence, the first petitioner had made an online application on 15.06.2021 for issuance of Joint Patta for the above said property. However, till date no action has been taken by the respondent. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioners for the above relief.

Though very many grounds have been raised, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that it would suffice if this Court may issue direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 15.06.2021 and pass appropriate orders within the time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

5. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent submits that the petitioner's application dated 15.06.2021 will be considered by the respondent within the time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

6. In view of the aforesaid submissions, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 15.06.2021, and pass appropriate orders within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity to aggrieved persons.

7. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of with the aforesaid direction.

No costs. consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
