JUDGMENT

The respondent police has filed charge sheet in Crime No.689 of 2011 for the alleged offence under Sections 376, 366-A and 506(i) of IPC. After Trial, the learned Sessions Judge, Fast Track Mahila Court, Nagapattinam, has convicted the accused for the offence under Section 376 read with Section 511 of IPC and sentenced him to undergo five years rigorous imprisonment and to pay a fine of Rs.5,000/-, in default to undergo one year simple imprisonment.

2.From the date of the conviction the accused was inside the jail. By the order of the Government, after spending the time, the accused was released under the remission on 29.08.2019. Since the accused was already underwent sentence period, nothing survives in this Criminal Appeal. Accordingly, this Criminal Appeal stands closed.
