Respondents Prayer: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, praying for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus , to direct the respondents to pass orders of posting to the post of Cook in Adi Dravidar Welfare Department, Erode District based on the selection conducted on 7.3.2017 as per Advertisement through newspaper dated 22.1.2017 in Na.Ka No.3838/2016/T1 and to appoint the petitioner to the post of Cook on the basis of the G.O.MS.No.21 Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare dated 16.3.2000 based on merit in selection.

ORDER
The petitioner has approached this Court, seeking the following relief:
"To issue of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to pass appropriate orders of posting to the post of Cook in Adi Dravidar Welfare Department, Erode District based on the selection conducted on 7.3.2017 as per Advertisement through newspaper dated 22.1.2017 in Na.Ka No.3838/2016/T1 and to appoint the petitioner to the post of Cook on the basis of the G.O.MS.No.21 Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare dated 16.3.2000 based on merit in selection, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court."

According to the petitioner, a notification was published on 22.1.2017 by the 2nd respondent for the recruitment to the post of Cook in Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Department in Erode District. In response to the notification, the petitioner had submitted for consideration of his candidature. Thereafter an interview was conducted on 7.3.2017 by the respondents, in which, the petitioner participated and submitted all the required documents/certificates. It is also the case of the petitioner that he was sponsored by the local Employment Exchange. Thereafter, there was no response forthcoming from the respondents. Therefore, the petitioner was constrained to submit a representation on 27.3.2017.
Even after the representation, there has been no response from the authorities concerned and the petitioner has not received any communication in regard to the fate of his selection. In the said circumstances, the petitioner has approached this Court seeking the above said relief.
3. Mr.R.A.S.Senthilvel, lerned counsel takes notice on behalf of the respondents.
4. Mr.P.Immanuel Prakasam, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner would be satisfied if the respondents are directed to dispose of his representation dated 18.4.2017.
5. In view of the limited prayer now sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner during the course of arguments, the writ petition itself is taken at the admission stage itself for final disposal.
6. Accordingly, the respondents are directed to dispose of the representation which is said to have been made by the petitioner on 18.4.2017 on merits and in accordance with law and also take into consideration the averments made in the affidavit filed in the support of the writ petition and pass orders therein, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7. With the above direction this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
