mandamus directing the respondents to remove the encroachments in the pavement of Uthamar Gandhi Salai, First Lane, N.H. Road, Chennai - 34, today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that it would suffice if a direction is given to the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 25.02.2015, within a time frame. Considering the limited scope of the relief sought by the learned counsel for the petitioner, we direct the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 25.02.2015 in accordance with law and on its own merits, affording an opportunity of hearing to all the concerned parties, including the encroachers, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Needless to state that each and every submission averred by the petitioner in his representation is to be adverted to and a reasoned order is required to be passed. The writ petition stands disposed of with the above direction and observation. Costs made easy.
