ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for direction directing the respondents No.1 to 3 to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 16.02.2025.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) for the respondents 1 to 3 and perused the materials available on record.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 submitted that the property comprised in S.No.272/1, Kudalur Village of an extent of 25 Ares, Kallakurichi District belongs to the Government and is classified as Government Poromboke. Therefore, no religious function is permitted in the said land. That apart, no application is pending seeking permission or police protection to conduct any religious function in the subject land.

4. Recording the above said submission, this Writ petition is closed. It is made clear that if any application is received by the third respondent for conducting any religious function in the said land, the third respondent is directed to issue notice to the petitioner, conduct enquiry and pass orders on

merits and in accordance with law. No costs.
