For Petitioner : Mr.N.A.Nissar Ahmed (in both W.Ps) For R1 and R2 : Mr.L.Jai Venkatesh Standing Counsel for [TANGEDCO] (in both W.Ps) For R3 : Dismissed vide Court order dated 15.12.2014 (in both W.Ps) COMMON ORDER The relief sought for in the present writ petitions is to direct the respondent to shift the High Tension Transformers erected in Flat No.9 and 10 in Lathif Nagar, in Old No.82, New No.111, Varadarajapuram Village, comprised in S.No.397/1C, Sriperumbudur Taluk, Kancheepuram District to some other place.

2. The grievance of the petitioners is that, a High Tension Transformers was erected, which causes inconvenience to the petitioners. In this regard, a representation is submitted and the said representation has not considered by the respondents.

3. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent/ Electricity Board, made a submission that, the High Tension Transformers are erected pursuant to the orders passed by the District Collector under the provisions of Indian Telegraph Act. Thus, the Collector is the authority to consider these aspects.

4. In view of the facts and circumstances, the petitioners are at liberty to approach the competent authority, for the purpose of redressal of their grievances in the manner known to law.

5.With these observations, these Writ Petitions stand disposed of. No costs.
