The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 03.02.2023, for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 420, 468, 471, 109 & 120 B of IPC, in Crime No.18 of 2019, on the file of the respondent Police, seek bail.

The case of the prosecution as per the de-facto complainant/Samiappan is that the accused have induced him by informing that they could get Government job for his son, had received a sum of Rs.16,00,000/- from him and thereafter, by issuing fabricated forged appointment orders, cheated him. Further, the accused have also forged the signature and the seals of the Government Officials. Hence the case.
3. Learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case, since he
happens to be the friend of A1. He also submitted that the petitioner has nothing to do with the alleged offence and he is prepared to abide by any stringent conditions that may be imposed by this Court. He also stated that the petitioner is in custody from 03.02.2023, hence, he prays for grant of bail to the petitioner.

Learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police submitted that the petitioner (A3) along with other accused, have induced the de-facto complainant, under the guise of getting Government job, had received a sum of Rs.16,00,000/- from him and cheated him by issuing fabricated appointment orders with forged signature and seals. He further submitted that five previous cases are pending as against the petitioner, hence, he opposed for grant of bail to the petitioner.
5. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondent and perused the entire materials available on record.
6. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor and also taking note of the fact that 5 previous cases are pending as against the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
7. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed for the present.
