Arb.Appln.No.131 of 2023 in Arb.Appln.No.36 of 2022 KRISHNAN RAMASAMY, J., This Application has been filed by the applicant seeking to amend the petition filed under Section 9 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 and also the affidavit filed in support of the said petition in the short cause title and wherever the name of the petitioner is mentioned as Shriram City Union Finance Limited to Shriram Finance Limited as specified in the details of amendment 2.Learned counsel appearing for the applicant would submit that the applicant / Finance Company was amalgamated with M/s.Shriram Transport Finance Company Limited. The scheme of amalgamation was sanctioned by The National Company Law Tribunal Special Bench - II, Chennai vide order made in CP (CAA)/69-76(CHE)/2022 dated 09.11.2022. After amalgamation, the name of the applicant had been changed as Shriram Finance Limited with effect from 30.11.2022. Therefore, the applicant has filed this present application to amend their name from Shriram City Union Finance Limited to Shriram Finance Limited.

KRISHNAN RAMASAMY, J., rst 3.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the applicant. 4.Upon hearing the learned counsel appearing for the applicant and perusal of the documents, it appears that by virtue of the scheme of amalgamation, the name of the applicant had been changed from Shriram City Union Finance Limited to Shriram Finance Limited, which necessitated the applicant to filed this present application. 5.In view of the above, this application is ordered as prayed for.
