ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent to give police protection to the petitioner based on his complaint dated 22.02.2023

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, petitioner is the District Secretary of Tamizhaga Vaazhvurimai Katchi, Chengalpet. He is facing threat to his life, at the hands of borrowers of money from him and political enemies. Therefore, he filed this petition for police protection.

3. In response, learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) submitted that, on the basis of the representation of the petitioner dated 22.02.2023, petitioner enquiry is pending.

4.In the light of the submissions of the learned counsel for the parties, this Court directs 1st respondent police to consider the petitioner's representation dated 22.02.2023 and pass appropriate orders in the manner known to law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

5. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is

disposed of.
