O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to restore/reconnect the electricity connection to the petitioner's asbestos sheet house situated at Door No.63, Indira Nagar Extension near Union School, Puthagaram, Chennai-9 under Electricity Service Connection No.026/002/2971, by considering his representation dated 6.2.2019 within a time frame fixed by this Court. 2.
When the matter is called, the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner in support of the prayer in the writ petition stated that the petitioner has been in possession and enjoyment of the property-in-question for more than 20 years https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
by paying the property tax to the Corporation of Chennai regularly. Besides, that property is having Electricity Service Connection No. 026/002/2971 and from the date of the electricity service connection, the petitioner has been paying the current consumption charges regularly. In the meanwhile, the petitioner has shifted temporarily his residence, as a result, he was unable to consume the electric power for the last two years and for the non-usuage of power, the respondent Board disconnected the power supply for the said house. Therefore, the petitioner has given a representation dated 6.2.2019 to the respondent to restore the same. Since till date, there is no response for the same, the petitioner is before this Court with the present Writ Petition.

Mr.P.R.Dhilipkumar, learned Standing Counsel for the respondent submitted that due to the shortage of metre boxes only, the request of the petitioner could not be considered. However, since the petitioner has cleared all the outstanding dues, the respondent restore/reconnect the electricity connection to the petitioner's asbestos sheet house situated at Door No.63, Indira Nagar Extension near Union School, Puthagaram, Chennai-9 under electricity Service Connection No.026/002/2971, by considering his representation dated 6.2.2019, within a period of one week from today. 4.
With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
