.. Respondent in Contempt Petitions Prayer: Petitions filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act to punish the respondent for having committed contempt of court for disobeying the common order dated 16.3.2022 made in W.A.Nos.537, 530 and 535 of 2022.

Advocate General assisted by M/s.Siva & Sesu Associates COMMON ORDER (Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Acting Chief Justice) These contempt petitions have been filed by the petitioners to punish the respondent for disobeying the order of this Court dated 16.3.2022 made in W.A.Nos.530, 535 and 537 of 2022.
2. Learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the respondent/contemnor submitted that they have identified new Plot Nos.19A, 18B, 18A and 19B measuring about 1230 square feet at Ninnakarai Village for allotment in favour of the petitioners, of which, the petitioners may choose any three. Since the new plots are bigger in size, the petitioners have to pay the differential amount with bank interest. He would submit that within two weeks'
from the date of selecting the new plots and paying the differential amount with bank interest by the petitioners, the respondent would allot the same.
3. At this juncture, learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that since the respondent is taking steps to allot bigger size plots, they are ready to pay the differential amount along with bank interest within the period of two weeks.
4. Since the respondent is in the process of allotting new plots in favour the petitioners and now the petitioners have also come forward to select any of the three plots from Plot Nos.19A, 18B, 18A and 19B and are willing to pay the differential amount along with bank interest within a period of two weeks from their selection, these contempt petitions are closed.
