The District Collector, Thanjavur ... 4th Respondent in WP 12714 & 12715/15 Prayer in W.P.No.12707 of 2015 to 12715 of 2015:- Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner representation dated 28.02.2015; 18.3.15; 11.4.15; 18.3.15; 26.2.15; 18.3.15; 21.4.15; 16.3.15 and 21.4.15 respectively and increase and enhance the age of her retirement from 60 years to 65 years as per the directions issued by the Government of India and allow the petitioner to continue her services till she attain the age of 65 years with all consequential benefits.

2. The petitioners herein are all Anganwadi workers and they submitted representations dated 28.02.2015, 18.03.2015, 11.04.2015, 18.03.2015, 26.02.2015, 18.03.2015, 21.04.2015, 16.03.2015 and 21.04.2015 respectively stating that the Government of India has raised the age of retirement for Anganwadi Workers to 65 years and directed the respective State Governments to uniformly fix the age of retirement for Anganwadi workers as 65 years. Therefore, they prays for enhancement of the retirement age from 60 years to 65 years. Though, the representations were acknowledged, no orders came to be passed, hence the petitioners are before this Court with these writ petitions.

3. Heard the submissions of Mr.M.Muthupandian, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and Mr.V.Subbiah, learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice for the respondents.

4. This Court, without going into the merits of the representations of the petitioners directs the first respondent to

consider and dispose of the petitioners representations dated 28.02.2015, 18.03.2015, 11.04.2015, 18.03.2015, 26.02.2015, 18.03.2015, 21.04.2015, 16.03.2015 and 21.04.2015 respectively, on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders as expeditiously as possible not later than twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken to the petitioners. The writ petitions are disposed of accordingly. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. No costs.
