ORDER

The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent to consider his representation dated 26.02.2016 and to issue necessary driving licence enabling him to drive four wheeler.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that he is physically handicapped and that he applied for driving licence before the respondent on 26.02.2016.

3. Mr.N.Rajavadivelu, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioner has given the representation on 26.02.2016, the respondent has not considered the same yet.

4. Mr.Zakir Hussain, learned Government Advocate, takes notice for the respondent and submitted that the respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.02.2016, on merits and in accordance with law, within a stipulated time.

Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, I direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.02.2016, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With this observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
