[Order of the Court was made by R.MAHADEVAN, J.] Seeking a direction to the respondents to consider his representation dated 21.02.2023 for enrolling him as an Advocate in the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

2.

It is the case of the petitioner that after completion of his under graduation in the year 2008, he joined K.K.C. College of Law, Puttur, affiliated to Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati and completed the same in the year 2019. Thereafter, for getting enrolled as an Advocate, the petitioner applied through online on 08.12.2021, but, till date his name was not included in the enrolment list due to pendency of a criminal case in C.C.No.9149 of 2017 on the file of the Metropolitan Magistrate Court for 2/5

CCB-CBCID Cases at Egmore, Chennai. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner is before this court with the present writ petition. 3.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has not committed any offence and he has been falsely implicated in the criminal case, however, due to pendency of the same, his application seeking enrolment as an Advocate, has not been processed till date. Therefore, the learned counsel prayed for a direction to the respondent authorities to dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioner on 21.02.2023.

4.

On the other hand, the learned counsel appearing for the respondent authorities fairly submitted that the respondent authorities would consider the representation of the petitioner and pass orders, on merits, within a time frame to be stipulated by this court. 5.

Considering the limited scope of the prayer made herein, without expressing any opinion on the claim of the petitioner, there shall be 3/5

a direction to the respondent authorities to pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation dated 21.02.2023, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.

With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
