ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for direction directing the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 23.08.2012. 1/4

2. Heard the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent. There is no representation for the petitioner and as such, this Court is inclined to pass orders on merits in this writ petition.

3. The petitioner was appointed as Driver in Thanthai Periyar Transport Corporation and worked till 1992. Thereafter, he was placed as Light Transport Vehicle Driver in Puratchi Thalaivar M.G.R.Transport Corporation and had worked till 2005. Thereafter, he was transferred to the respondent Corporation and directed to work as Heavy Vehicle Driver. While being so, on 30.05.2011, he was relieved from the Headquarters and he was directed to report before the Branch Manager, K.K.Nagar Bus Station. Therefore, he was seeking to retain him as Light Transport Vehicle Driver. Now, the petitioner retired from service and as such, the prayer sought for in this writ petition has become infructuous.

4. In view of the above, this writ petition stands dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
