Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to conduct an enquiry on the basis of applications dated Nil 11.2016 and reminders dated 09.08.2024 and 27.12.2025 sent by the petitioners to the respondents and issue Patta in the name of the petitioners in respect of the property comprised in New S.No.506/16 (Old S.No.30/6 and 7), situated at P.Vaduga Palayam Village, Palladam Taluk, Tiruppur District to an extent of 1850 sq.ft., after measuring and fixing boundaries and implant survey stone by the competent authority in terms of provisions of Tamil Nadu Patta Pass Book Act forthwith.

ORDER
This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to issue patta in favour of the petitioners for the property morefully disclosed in the prayer to this writ petition, based on the petitioner's application, dated Nil 11.2026 and reminders, dated 09.08.2024 and 27.12.2025.
2. According to the petitioners, they have earlier applied for patta for the very same property vide application dated Nil 11.2016 and they Page No.2 of 7
were advised to file a civil suit and get a declaration that they are the owners of the property. According to them, based on the advice of the respondents, the petitioners have also filed a civil suit and have also obtained a civil decree in their favour declaring that they are the owners of the subject property. They also claims that they are in possession of the same. Thereafter, they had given representations to the respondents on 09.08.2024 and 27.12.2025 seeking for issuance of patta in their name, based on the civil court decree. Since the same was not considered, the petitioners have filed this writ petition.
3. Mr.D.Ravichander, learned Special Government Pleader, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.
4. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents, if the petitioners' application and representations as stated supra are considered on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the objections, if any, from the neighbouring land owners as well as any other party whom the 5th respondent deems it fit to enquire, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioners' application and representations.
6. For the foregoing reasons, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the 5th respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law, on the petitioners' application, dated Nil 11.2016 and reminders, dated 09.08.2024 and 27.12.2025 seeking for issuance of patta in the name of the petitioners for the property morefully disclosed in the prayer to this writ petition, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents filed by the petitioners, and after hearing the objections, if any, from the neighbouring land owners as well as any other party, whom the 5th respondent deems it fit to enquire.
