Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India in the nature of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant pension to the petitioner by issuing appropriate Pension Payment Order under the Pension Provident Fund Scheme in relation to Form 10 - D (TN/7884/1231) and grant arrears of pension with interest from the due date till the actual payment at the rate of 18% per annum.

ORDER

The prayer sought in this writ petition is to direct the respondents to grant pension to the petitioner by issuing appropriate Pension Payment Order under the Pension Provident Fund Scheme in relation to Form 10 - D (TN/7884/1231) and grant arrears of pension with interest from the due date till the actual payment at the rate of 18% per annum.

2. Learned counsel on either side is present.

3. M/s. Sunita Kumari, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents herein, submitted that the petitioner's prayer is to direct the respondents to grant pension based on the Employee's Provident Fund Pension Scheme. The learned Standing Counsel further submitted that the petitioner is being paid a sum of Rs.853/- (Rupees Eight Hundred and Fifty Three only) per month from February 2013 to till date. Hence, nothing survives in this Writ Petition for further adjudication.
