Writ Petitions under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying that in the circumstances stated therein and in the respective affidavits filed therewith the High Court will be pleased to issue a WRIT OF MANDAMUS or any other appropriate writ, order or direction particularly in the nature of writ, directing the Respondents to grant leave for 30 days without escort to the detenue, Arjunan aged about 55 years, S/o. Duraisamy life Convict prisoner, Convict No. 11251, detained at Central Prison Kovai (in WP.No.8224 of 2021).

Order : This petition coming on this day for hearing upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of M/S.S.LAKSHMI for MR.S.MANOHARAN, Advocate for the petitioner and of MR.R.PRATHAP KUMAR, Additional Public Prosecutor on behalf of the Respondents, the court made the following order:- (Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.) Today, this matter has been listed under the caption "for reporting compliance".

2. The leave that has been granted by this Court, by order

dated 31.03.2021, shall continue till 27.04.2021, since it is represented that the detenu is in ICU at Kurinji Hospital, as he has developed serious heart problem.
