ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH,J) This is a very strange writ petition filed by the petitioner. According to the petitioner, the fourth respondent while serving as a Member of the Council has changed the name of the streets from Bharathidasan Nagar to Jeeva street. The name of the fourth respondent is Mr.Jeevanandham @ Jeeva.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner also submitted that not only this street but also the nearby street names have been changed.
3. Placing reliance upon the counter affidavit filed, the learned counsel appearing for respondents 1 to 3 submitted that it is not factually correct. The original names stand as such.
4. The learned counsel appearing for the fourth respondent has also submitted that no such change has been effected.
5. In such view of the matter, there is no controversy with the existing street, though in the typed set of papers it has been shown with the name as Jeeva street.
6. As stated, the name of the street continues to be Bharathidasan Nagar and as such the same is on the official records and the public documents. No doubt, it is true that the names of the streets might mislead and, therefore, we direct the
official respondents 1 to 3 to see to it that such writing in Ward No.146 Part 32 and Ward No.146 Zone.11 will have to be removed. The officials are also directed to inspect the nearby areas and ensure that such mistakes, if any, are not committed. If such mistakes are noticed, then they will have to be removed. The needful will have to be done within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Writ Petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
