The Deputy Inspector General of Police Coimbatore Range, Coimbatore - 641 018 ..Respondents Prayer : The Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records pertaining to the impugned order in proceedings in Rc.No.H1/1492/2026 D.No.121/2026 dated 21.1.2026 passed by the 2nd respondent and to quash the same as illegal and against the principles of law and consequently direct the respondents to reinstate the petitioner with continuity of service with all other attendant monetary benefits.

ORDER

The Writ Petitioner seeks to quash the impugned order dated 21.01.2026 issued by the second respondent and to direct the respondents to reinstate the petitioner with continuity of service with all other attendant benefits.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, it is informed by the leaned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents that the suspension order issued to the petitioner has been revoked by proceedings dated 19.02.2026, bearing Rc.No.H1/PR.No.08/2026. The said communication reads as follows:- D.O.No.243/2020 District Police Officer, Rc.No.HI PR.No. 08/2026 The Nilgiris District, Dated 19.02.2020 Udhagamandalam REVOCATION FROM SUSPENSION & POSTING ORDERS - ISSUED Tr.C.Pughalendhhi, HC-2058/N tu/si. R-3 Manjoor 1.5, the Nilons District who was placed under suspension with effect from 21.01.2026 Α.Ν. vide this Office D.O.121/2026, Re. No.111/1492/2026, dated: 21.01.2026 is released from suspension with immediate effect without prejudice to the departmental action pending against him and posted to G-2 New Hope PS, the Nilgiris District.

2) He will report at R 3 Manjoor P.S., the Nilgiris District immediately

3) Inspector of Police. R-3 Manjoor P.S., the Nilgiris District will inform the date of joining/releving of the above HC to this office immediately

4) Inspector of Police. G-1 Gudalur P.S., the Nilgiris will inform the date of joining of the above HC at R-3 Manjoor P.S. to this office immediately. Sd/- N.S. Nisha.

4. In the light of the above, no further orders are required to be passed in this Writ Petition. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. However, it is informed by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the subsistence allowance has not been paid. Hence, the second respondent is directed to pay the subsistence allowance to the petitioner, within a period of three (3) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
