By consent, the writ petition is take up for final disposal.
2. The petitioner claims to be one of the member in-charge of the affairs of "Anna Mangalam Punitha Thomaiyur Alayam" and he is the head of the Organising Committee. The petitioner would further state that for the past 25 years festival in connection with the said temple has been conducted without any law and order or other problem. In this year also, such festival has to be conducted and in this regard, the petitioner submitted an application dated 20.04.2015 to the respondent seeking permission to conduct a dance and song programme on 03.05.2015 and since no orders came to be passed, he field this writ petition.
3. Heard the submissions of Mr.V.Ravichandran, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner. The learned counsel for the petitioner on instructions would submit that the programme will be conducted in https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
a peaceful manner without creating any law and order problem and they will not perform any obscene dance or any obscenity in the song and dance programme. The learned counsel hence prays for appropriate orders.
4. This Court heard the submission of Mr.Rm.Muthukumar, learned Government Advocate who accepts notice for the respondent.
5. This Court taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer made in this writ petition, directs the second respondent to consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 20.04.2015, on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders on or before 01.05.2015 and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner.
