O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by S.M.Subramaniam J.) The Contempt Petition has been filed for punishing the respondent for having not obeyed the orders of this Court dated 22.12.2022 made in W.A.No.1599 of 2019.

2. This Court passed an order holding that the amount of gratuity determined by the Labour Court at Rs.4,52,047/- less the amount if any, already paid, needs to be paid by the 1st respondent Management together with interest at 10% per annum from the date of retirement under the provisions of the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972.

3. Written statement filed by the respondent would show that the respondent has admitted the entitlement of amount payable to Workman, i.e., Rs.4,52,047/-. Thereafter, the respondent has deducted the amount already received, by enclosing statement. If the petitioner identifies any error, he is at liberty to approach the authority.

4. Finding that no contempt is made out, the present Contempt Petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, connected Sub Application is also closed.
