to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 4 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.02.2024 to take necessary action against the 5th respondent and to issue necessary orders by appointing any other ward member to sign the cheques of the Illupur Village Panchayat Bank Accounts at Indian Overseas Bank, Kanakamma Chatram Branch and Indian Bank, Thiruvalangadu Branch and pass appropriate orders within stipulated time period and pass orders accordingly.

This Writ petition has been filed seeking for a a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 4 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.02.2024 to take necessary action against the 5th respondent and to issue necessary orders by appointing any other ward member to sign the cheques of the Illupur Village Panchayat Bank Accounts at Indian Overseas Bank, Kanakamma Chatram Branch and Indian Bank, Thiruvalangadu Branch and pass appropriate orders within stipulated time period and pass orders accordingly.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the 5th

respondent being the Vice President of Panchayat is refusing to sign the cheques for Panchayat Scheme works, M-Books, PFMS, maintenance work for better administration of the Panchayat thereby for the past 4 years, the Illupur Village is at back drop in the improvement of standard of drinking water, street lights, sanitary amenities, and Chief Minister's and Prime Minster's schemes roads. Even though various representations have been forwarded to the respondents 1 to 4 in this regard, they have not taken any action efficaciously till now. Hence, the Writ petition has been filed. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the respondents 1 to 4 submit that the petitioner's representation dated 12.02.2024 has been considered and as per G.O. No.146 dated 17.08.

2007 of Rural Development Department, another Ward member can sign in the Cheque instead of Vice President in the event of misunderstanding between the President and Vice president. Accordingly, the District Collector passed an order dated 22.06.2024 in Na.Ka.No.650/2023/A3 granting authority to Mrs.Anitha who 5th Ward Member of Illupur Village to sign in the cheque instead of 5th respondent herein. Hence, this Writ petition may be closed accordingly.

4. In view of the above, nothing survives for adjudication in this

Writ petition and become infructuous. Hence, this Writ petition is closed. No costs.
