Prayer: Contempt petition filed under section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, to punish the respondents for willful disobedience of the order made in W.P.No.3854 of 2016 dated 02.02.2016.

O R D E R

The present Contempt Petition is taken up alleging non compliance of the order dated 02.02.2016 made in W.P.No.3854 of 2016.

2. The learned counsel for the respondents would submit that the order passed by this Court, directing the respondents to pay interest, has been compiled with. It is https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ also further submitted that the interest at the rate of 4%

i.e., a sum of Rs.1,50,138/-, has been handed over to the petitioner by way of a cheque dated 14.12.2016.

3. However, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the respondents Co-operative Society is also very affluent Society and they are receiving huge profits and therefore, one more direction be issued to pay the interest at a reasonable rate.

4. Considering the fact that the respondents Society is not financially well off and also taking note of the fact that the interest at the rate of 4% has been paid, the Contempt Petition stands closed.
