This writ petition came up for consideration before this court on 02.07.2025 and, after hearing the matter, the same was adjourned to today to enable Mr.S.Rajesh, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent Corporation, to get specific instructions in the matter.
2. Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, Mr.S.Rajesh, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent Corporation fairly submitted that, in view of long lapse of time, the respondent Commissioner is willing to reconsider the claim of the petitioner by duly taking into consideration the factual aspects exists as on the date of passing of the impugned orders, as well as the subsequent events, in accordance with law.
3. In the light of the above, this court does not see any reason to adjudicate the matter on merits. Accordingly, with the consent of both
learned counsels, the matter is remanded back to the second respondent, duly setting aside the impugned order for re-considering the claim of the petitioner for regularization/ absorption into the service of the Corporation of Chennai. The second respondent is further directed to conduct necessary verification/ enquiry and pass appropriate orders, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
