ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for direction directing the respondents to accept the candidature of the petitioner, call the petitioner for interview and decide on merits as stipulated in the qualifying requirements set by and published by the IMU.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the respondents. There is no representation for the petitioner and as such, this Court is inclined to pass orders on merits in this writ petition.

3. It is seen that the selection to the post of professor has already been over. However, the petitioner is also aged about 69 years. Therefore, the prayer sought for in this writ petition has become infructuous.

4. In the result, this writ petition stands dismissed. Consequently connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
