ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation regarding admission of her son to the 11th standard based on his class 10 supplementary examination results.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner's son, aged about sixteen years was unsuccessful in the X standard examination for the 2024 - 2025 academic year. He subsequently appeared for the supplementary examinations in July 2025, which he passed, thereby becoming eligible to pursue higher secondary education. However, when the petitioner approached the second respondent seeking admission for her son at the Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Guduvanchery, the request was declined on the grounds that the admission period had already concluded. Consequently, the petitioner submitted a formal representation dated 04.11.2025 to the second respondent and there is no response from the second respondent. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner further submitted that this Court may issue a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation.
4.On the contrary, the learned counsel appearing for the respondents submits that the final examinations for the current academic year are scheduled to commence tomorrow, on 04.03.2026. The learned counsel further submits that there is no possibility for admitting the petitioner's son in the present academic year. However, the petitioner may approach the second respondent for admission in the forthcoming academic year.
5.Recording the submission made by the learned counsel for the respondents, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the petitioner to approach the second respondent in April 2026 to seek admission for her son for the 2026 - 2027 academic year. No costs.
