ORDER
This Court, by an order dated 23.2.2016 in W.P.No.6467 of 2016, directed the respondents herein to pass appropriate orders with regard to correction of date of birth of the petitioner as 15.1.1959 instead of 15.1.1956 in his SSLC Book bearing Sl.No.AE-012950 issued by the first respondent herein and other school records of the second respondent herein, by taking note of the letter of the second respondent in the writ petition in https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ Rc.No.056496/M/ E3/2015 dated 9.10.2015 directing the first
respondent herein to advise the second respondent herein to correct the date of birth in the Admission Register and withdrawal TC Register, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of that order. Alleging that the said order has not been complied with, the present contempt petition has been filed.
2. Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that as against the said order, writ appeal was filed in W.A.No.1036 of 2016 and in the said writ appeal, interim stay was granted by the Division Bench of this Court by an order dated 23.8.2016.
3. In view of the said submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader, I am of the opinion, nothing survives in this contempt petition for adjudication and hence, the contempt petition is closed.
