[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] This petition has been filed seeking direction to the 3rd respondent to produce the petitioner's daughter viz. Priyadharshini, aged 23 years, before this Court and set her at liberty.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that, her daughter Priyadharshini, aged 23 years, was married to one Madhesh and on account of marital discord, she got estranged from him and returned to her natal home; while so, she developed intimacy with one Ajith Kumar and eloped with him in 2016; on a complaint given by the petitioner, the police secured the said https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Priyadharshini and handed over her to the petitioner.

3. Now, it appears that, Priyadharshini had gone missing since 10.12.2019, for which, on a complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Vazhapadi P.S.Crime No.183 of 2021 for "woman missing" has been registered and investigation is in progress.

Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed with a direction to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Vazhapadi Sub-Division, to monitor the investigation in Vazhapadi P.S.Crime No.183 of 2021 and keep the petitioner posted of the developments, if any. Further, as and when the detenue viz. Priyadharshini is secured, she shall be produced before the District Munsif-cum-Judicial Magistrate, Vazhapadi, under intimation to the petitioner. On such production, the learned Magistrate shall pass appropriate orders with regard to the custody of the detenue.
