ORDER

This is a petition filed by the petitioner seeking a direction to the respondents to consider his representation dated 22.11.2025.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate accepting notice for the respondents.

3. The case of the petitioner is as follows:

(i) The petitioner is the proprietor of M/s.ARP Enterprises. A hotel at S.No.735/2B3, NH4, Sriperumbudur Taluk, Kanchipuram District belonging to Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation (TTDC) was handed over to the said M/s.ARP Enterprises on 12.8.2016 for a lease period from 01.3.2016 to 28.2.2013. When the hotel was handed over to the said M/s.ARP Enterprises, it required renovation. The petitioner took all the efforts to renovate the hotel such as interior work, flooring, electrification, plumbing, etc. The petitioner maintained and operated the

hotel under the name and style of 'Arya Nivas'. (ii) The petitioner spent Rs.104 lakhs for the renovation work. During the period of lease, the hotel building was acquired by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for six lane highways. The compensation amount was also settled to the TTDC. Further, the compensation amount for the building that was renovated by the petitioner was estimated by the NHAI. For the past 20 months, though the petitioner took best efforts for payment of the compensation for the renovation work done as estimated by the NHAI, it did not evoke any response. (iii) Hence, the petitioner sent a representation dated 22.11.2025 to the respondents seeking for payment of compensation. In this writ petition, the petitioner prays for a direction to the respondents to consider his representation.

4. Considering the limited nature of the prayer sought and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 22.11.2025 on merits and pass
