Respondent Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent to issue patta based on the petitioner representation dated 26.10.2017 land situate at No.8/1, Bajanai Koil Street, Eranavoor Village, Chennai-600 057, Madhavaram (Taluk) Tiruvallur (Dist) measuring about 747 sq.ft, comprised in Survey Number 79/2 and one part of Plot No.B2 more fully described in the scheduled property.

Mr.R.Govindasamy, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The petitioner seeks for a Mandamus directing the respondent to consider her representation dated 26.10.2017, wherein and whereby he sought for issuance of patta in her favour in respect of the land situated at No.8/1, Bajanai Koil Street, Eranavoor Village, Chennai-600 057, Madhavaram (Taluk) Tiruvallur (Dist).

4. The grievance of the petitioner is that the said representation has not been considered so far. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the respondent to consider and decide the same on merits and in accordance with law. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of, only by directing the respondent to consider the representation of the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

petitioner dated 26.10.2017 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the rival claimants, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the respondent within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
