ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences under sections 294(b), 498(A), 506(i) IPC r/w 4 of TNPHW Act in Crime No.5 of 2022 seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner is the husband of the defacto complainant. It is alleged that after receiving 30 sovereigns of gold and other house hold articles as sridhana, the petitioner ill-treated the defacto complainant by demanding more dowry. It is further alleged that the petitioner had illegal intimacy with A-2.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submits that due to matrimonial dispute in between the petitioner and the defacto complainant, the petitioner assaulted and ill-treated the defacto complainant. Hence, he opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
