Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to consider the representation submitted by the Petitioner Association on 27-11-2014 requesting for grant of the same pay Band as availed by the Assistant Engineers with effect from 1-1-2006 and pass appropriate orders thereon.

O R D E R

The relief sought for in this writ petition is for a direction to the first respondent to consider the representation submitted by the writ petitioner Association on 27.11.2014 in respect of the pay fixation.

2.Heard Mr.P.Manoj Kumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.K.Dhananjayan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner made a submission that the members of the writ petitioner association are working in the cadre of Junior Engineer in the Department of Agriculture Engineering. However, the association is of the opinion that the pay fixations are done erroneously by the respondents for the post of Assistant Engineer. In this regard, the writ petitioner association have submitted a representation to the first respondent on 27.11.2014.

4.Thus, without going into the merits of the matter, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the writ petitioner association on 27.11.2014 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. However, there is no order as to costs.
