Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the students of the University rep.by the 1st respondent and or any person representing them to not to assemble, protest, dharna, march, blockade, use of public address / loud speaker system, etc within 500 meters of administrative block and not to stop ingress and egress of the staff, students and officials to the administrative block at any point of time and if at all the students are to indulge in protest / congregation, the same has to be done only in a peaceful manner in the area earmarked by the petitioner and to issue appropriate directions to the 2nd respondent to provide assistance to maintain law and order in the event of non compliance of the aforesaid directions by the students.

O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this petition seeking issuance of writ of Mandamus to direct the 1st respondent Council not to assemble, protest, dharna, march, blockade, use of public address / loud speaker system, etc within 500 meters of administrative block and not to stop ingress and egress of the staff, students and officials to the administrative block at any point of time .

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, this Court is of the opinion that since the protest itself got over and the students have resumed their studies and some of the students have completed their courses and had got out of the College, nothing survives for further adjudication in the prayer sought for in the present petition.
