This writ petition is filed for a mandamus to direct the respondent herein to receive the application of the petitioner dated 8/2/2021 in Form CCPA and the prescribed fee for the grant of an Autorickshaw Permit to operate the vehicle within a radius of 30 Km. distance from Salem Town Bus Stand, Salem and consider the same.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that though the petitioner has submitted an application as on 8/2/2021, the respondent is not receiving the same.

Mr.D.Venkatesan, learned Government Advocate appearing for the Respondent, on instructions from the respondent would submit that there is an objection for grant of new autorickshaw permits by the Salem Bus Owners Association and they have also filed a writ petition in W.P.No.30613 of 2019 which is pending before this court, of course, without any interim order. such Application from the petitioner seeking Autorickshaw permit and if any application is received by them, in the prescribed format, the same would be considered on the merits of the application.

4. In view of the said submissions, this Court is inclined to dispose of the writ petition with the following direction. The petitioner shall apply for Autorickshaw permit in the prescribed format by paying necessary fee within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and if any application is filed by the petitioner, the same shall be considered by the respodent on the merits of that applcation within a period of three weeks from thereon.
